Where do you Stay?

Snehatheeram Eco Lodge is located on the eastern banks of a small back water lake called KC Kayal which is about 200 metres east of Ramanchery village located near Aabian sea. The lodge overhangs into the lake and is built on pillars made of hard, strong and salt water resistant local wood. The deck is made of wooden joists and planks. The walls and ceilings are made of babmoo ply. Roof is made of strong corrosion resistant metal sheet. There are two double rooms and a common living room in between. Each room opens into a balcony facing the lake. One can sit there on comfortable arm chairs and enjoy the nice breath taking natural beauty and cool breeze. Rooms have small attached baths. Because of the continuous cool breeze, you do not need fans or A/C. No mosquitoes here either. The water supply pipe connected to the public water pipe, provides clean water into the baths. We provide safe drinking water, fresh towels and linen in the rooms. Most importantly, the entire lodge is electrified with solar power. The sewage is collected in a digester, treated and disposed safely.

The Food

There is a pantry kitchen on the ground, where we cook food consisting of rice, curry and freshly caught fish. You can join us in fishing and select your own fish. For vegetarians we can cook excellent local cuisine as well. The food is served in the living room by us.
